Dragon Ball Z (Japanese: ドラゴンボールZゼット or commonly known as DBZ) is a Japanese Manga and anime series writtenby Akira Toriyama, produced by Toei Animation and Dragon Ball Z games published by Bandai.
The series first debut ed in 1984 as Dragon Ball. As a result from it’s success, the sequel Dragon Ball Z was created which was later re-animated as Dragon Ball Kai. Above all, to meet the fan base’s demands and expectations; an official sequel Dragon Ball Super was released.
The Dragon Ball universe now contains Manga, Anime and Video Games. With the series being such a main-stream success. Dedicated fan-made Sequels started to surface such as Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball AF. Further stabilizing Dragon Ball’s Universe success; now being one of the most arguably popular animated shows to have ever existed.
There have been several incarnations of this highly successful franchise, namely – Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Kai, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball F and the most recent Dragon Ball Super. Similar to Capcom’s Street Fighter series of fighting games signature move Hadouken, Dragon Ball Z also has it’s own. Son Goku and Son Gohan’s signature move learnt from his Master Roshi called Kamehameha. Let’s not forget Vegeta’s Final Flash.
